The АИ-2 - Аптечка Индивидуальная (Individual First Aid Kit) was intended for issue to Soviet civilians in the event of war. It was introduced in the late 60s and produced up to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 . The AI-2 was stockpiled in fallout shelters and bunkers all across the Soviet Union, the Civil Defense of the Soviet Union was responsible for their maintenance and replacement. Subsequent production runs were made after the fall of the Soviet Union to keep stocks fresh and up to date. For legal and safety reasons ALL medications have been removed fully. Only their washed & cleaned containers remain.
